Louise began her yoga journey at Sligo Yoga Centre which is a dedicated Iyengar Yoga School. With deep appreciation of the wisdom of this system, she cultivated a long time Iyengar practice. Over time Louise felt called to explore other approaches and she felt particularly drawn to the powerful marriage of breath with movement in the Vinyasa Flow style. Eventually she travelled to India to complete teacher training in the  Vinyasa system and is certified through Green Lotus Yoga. In her teaching today, Louise blends the flow of the vinyasa system with the detailed attention to alignment she learned in the Iyengar system. More recently Louise has completed a year of study in Subtle Body Anatomy with Veronica Larsson, and is now integrating this deep body mind energy intelligence into her teaching. Additionally, Louise has completed specialised training as a Children’s Yoga teacher (The Elbow Room, Dublin) and in Pregnancy Yoga, (Yoga Mama, London) and soon will complete teacher training with Judith Lasater in Restorative Yoga.

Louise is passionate about her teaching and is committed to sharing the tools and trainings that have benefited & supported her. Her classes encourage students to develop a fully embodied practice to enhance their own wellbeing, support their nervous systems and nourish the whole self.

In addition to her work at the Natural Therapies Centre, Louise also contributes her classes online for  Anois Yoga.

Reflexology for general health and wellbeing:
Based on Chinese traditions, reflexology aims to keep qi energy (vital energy) flowing in the body. When a person feels stressed, their body blocks qi. This blockage or imbalance in the body can cause illness.
Reflexology is the application of pressure to areas on the feet (or the hands). The theory behind reflexology is that areas of the foot correspond to organs and systems of the body. Pressure applied to the foot brings relaxation and healing to the corresponding area of the body.
Suitable for all ages, reflexology has many benefits:
Reduces anxiety and stress, boosts the immune system, improves circulation and digestion, clears up sinus issues, works well alongside cancer treatments, lifts moods, reduces pain, improves lymphatic drainage and improves general health and wellbeing.

Indian Head Massage

Indian head massage stems from an ancient Ayurvedic healing system dating back to over 1000 years ago. It focuses on relieving the effects of stress and is ideal for those suffering from aching shoulders, a tight neck, sinus issues, eye strain, headaches, insomnia, poor concentration and in particular, hair loss.

Holistic Swedish Massage for Women’s Wellbeing

Holistic (mind, body, spirit) massage involves treating the whole person (physically and mentally) and not just the symptom or condition. Massage can be used for relaxation, stimulation or rehabilitation of the whole body or part of it.
Holistic Swedish massage is used to relieve stress, tension, relaxes the mind, improves circulation, muscle suppleness and skin tone while lifting the spirit and balancing energy. Massage encourages better lymph drainage, improves digestion, boosts immunity, helps with sleep and much more. Pressure can be light, medium, or deep.
In a holistic Swedish massage session, the therapist uses a massage oil or lotion and performs various massage strokes. These movements warm up the muscle tissue, releasing tension and gradually break up knots and tension built in the tissues.
